Out With The Old…

This week was a bunch of clean-up again, but before I talk about the work there is a bit of family life I would like to share.

One blessing we have with the at-home online learning is the private trails right by our house that we can walk on and not see another soul. Every day after school we take the dog on a long walk on these trails since we’ve spent all day on the computer. Recently, the little one has become completely obsessed with ants, watching countless YouTube videos on the subject and now she needs to look for them on every hike. She claims she’s going to be an Entomologist when she grows up and right now I think it’s going to happen.

This week we cleaned up more of the yard. Specifically, we got down to the old foundation which has to go in order to make room for the new foundation. Thankfully the first part we came across came apart fairly easily with the sledgehammer, but the next part didn’t come apart so easily. Want to guess what we did? Yep, we got the tractor involved. We lifted it up with the tractor and dropped it repeatedly until it broke. We still have a lot more foundation to break apart but it’s started now and we know the tractor can help.

Anyway, I know this is really short this week, but we didn’t do a whole lot of notes. We got the ice and water shield up on the roof and purchased a couple of bundles of shingles which are not up there yet. Other than that it was a bunch of cleaning up. That really helps us out. Thank you for following us on our journey and I look forward to seeing you next week.
