Sorry we missed a post last week. The week kinda got away from me.

I may have mentioned in a previous blog post that one of the windows we received came without the brick molding we needed to install it. Recently a new window frame was delivered in which we were expected to move the window panes over. We managed to do that and get the window installed, however we called the supplier and asked for a completely new window (which they are sending) since we did not have the proper tools and can’t verify if the window is properly sealed.

This is the window that goes in our front hall by the newly built closet. Having the window installed (even if it’s improper at the moment) really brightens up that area and we love having even more natural light coming into the house again. I had almost forgotten the importance of natural light with having all the windows covered up all winter.

With some warm weather finally here, we got to some more work outside. This week we have started to dig out the large tree stump from one of the trees we had cut down in the fall. Thankfully, we have recently purchased a tractor which has made digging much, much easier than with only a shovel and a pick. We’ve managed to dig in two hours which would have taken a day.

The last thing we have done recently is decided to utilize the apparent demand up here for people to do odd jobs similar to those we need to do here anyway. We have already agreed to do some work for a couple of people and we made the magnet for the car to advertise as well as some business cards for us to hand out. Hopefully this will help cover some our expenses while allowing us the time to still complete what we need to here.

Thank you all for following us on this journey and sorry again for missing a post last week. Follow us on Facebook for some additional photos of the house and the property.
